Rwanda

If you’re interested in possible commercial flight options from Rwanda home to Australia, register with the Australian High Commission in Nairobi by emailing consular.nairobi@dfat.gov.au. Measures are in place to limit the spread of COVID-19 in Rwanda and are being strictly enforced. A curfew is in place from 8pm to 5am. Non-essential movement is restricted and face masks must be worn in public at all times. All borders remain closed except to cargo, Rwandan citizens and legal residents. Exit screening is in place for all departing travellers. Anyone exhibiting symptoms associated with COVID-19 will be moved to isolation and if they test positive, will be treated in a Government healthcare facility. Follow the advice of local authorities and minimise your risk of exposure to COVID-19. Stay in touch with family and friends so they know you’re safe and well.

We now advise you to:

Do not travel to Rwanda.
